In my view, the Alexander Technique is not a technique whose main aim is to alleviate pain, correct posture and enhance performance, although these are all true and tangible outcomes of practising its principles on a daily basis and in all our activities. To me, and obviously to F.M. himself (see The Use of the Self, chapter 2....), the Alexander Technique is a study of our psychophysical reaction to Life.
