The MOST important thing in Life is feeling SAFE and making others feel SAFE. Not safe in the limiting comfort-zone sense, but safe in the sense of not needing to put your defenses up. It's impossible to watch our primary reaction (defense) go up if it is up all the time and ingrained into our self-definition. Create that space of safety for yourself and for others; it's the biggest gift you can give.
